Here’s an update on how long Gaithersburg homes for sale on sitting on the market as we’re approaching winter of 2016-2017:
The average days on market for detached homes sold in September was 51 days, 14% below the 5-year September average of 59 days. There was a 14.3% month over month increase in new contract activity with 32 New Pendings; a 28.1% MoM increase in All Pendings (new contracts + contracts carried over from August) to 41; and a 1% decrease in supply to 95 active units.
The average days on market for attached units sold in September was 45 days, the same as the 5-year September average of 45 days. There was no month over month change in new contract activity with 49 New Pendings; a 12.1% MoM increase in All Pendings (new contracts + contracts carried over from August) to 74; and a 9.1% increase in supply to 108 active units
